Meridian Mountain, WA | Feb 2024

Summit:
W7W/LC-138

You can access Meridian Mountain if you purchase a Weyerhaeuser permit https://recreation.weyerhaeuser.com. You will need the “Longview – St Helens” one. The permit is valid for a year and gets you a map that you can load into an app on your phone as well as a key to the Recreation Access Gates.  Take I5 N to exit 42, then Ostrander Road to Rec Permit Access Gate 010.

Rock Peak, WA | Oct 2023

Summit:
W7W/SO-041

There are several trip reports available for Rock Peak, WA. I used: https://www.summitpost.org/rock-peak/709367 which had correct directions.  It is also accurate about the hike up being a short, steep, slippery ascent with medium density forest floor brush. Peakbagger has several other reports (https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=16430)

Signal Peak, WA | Sept 2023

Summit:
W7W/LC-110

Signal Peak is a 12.7 mile Priusable drive up with some pot holes that are easily navigated.  It does not need a Weyerhaeuser permit for access.  Although you traverse through Weyerhaeuser land, the road you take is designed as a “Public Access Corridor” to the state forest where the Signal Peak summit is located.

3020-Receiver Mtn | May 2023

Summit:
W7W/SO-052

3020 (Receiver Mountain) is a summit for the persistent activator – you will find it has both good and challenging aspects. The approach roads require 4WD and most sections are in good shape but foliage in some sections of the road encroach and could scratch your vehicle.
