Badger Peak is a easy 4 pt summit. Mostly a drive up with about a 1 mile hike to AZ. There is about 650 ft of vertical lift from the parking place.
It is located about 40 miles West of Pocatello ID on the I-86 Corridor. Drive West on I-86 from Pocatello and take the Cold Water exit 21. Go over the bridge above I-86 and keep straight on Barkdell Road for approximately 6 miles. The road will fork to the left onto 3450 East continue SE on 3450 E and it will turn into 3500 East. There will be another fork on your left take that. 42.53383, -113.09954 in about a 1/4 of a mile you will see some old farm buildings..if you go by them you know you are on the right road. On either side of this road is private property, but due to Idaho's Access Yes program it will take you through to BLM land to a saddle. Here is where you need to park (42.54186, -113.05175)and hike to the summit to you North. It is an easy 1 mile hike with the majority on a old double track. Be aware if the road is muddy or if raining it will turn into a greasy mess.
