SOTA Activities

I started doing SOTA in fall 2012. My only portable radios are my HT's; two Icom F3021s and and a new Icom ID-51.

Pretty soon I'll run out of peaks near civilization to activate on 2 Meter FM :) Time to start saving for a portable HF rig so I can play with the big boys and girls of SOTA.

Some of my interests include ham radio, bicycling, back country skiing, hiking, photography, and road trips. I think SOTA is pretty cool because it allows me to combine ham radio with my other hobbies.

My full-time "hobby", and the one that pays the bills, is optometry. I'm an optometrist with offices in central and eastern Washington.
