I like to answer SOTA CQ's. I have not activated a SOTA site. I monitor 146.52 MHz for SOTA activities and providing service for the Wilderness Protocol. I use a combination of Kenwood, Icom and Yaseu equipment for the VHF, UHF and HF activations.

I have been an operator for 47 years. I enjoy working the bands from 160M through 1296 MHz. I work mostly SSB but occasionally CW. I am active on Winlink and APRS. I am an OES, VE, and ARRL Instructor. I enjoy teaching classes and workshops. I like getting new operators on the air. I enjoy helping new hams become familiar with their new gear and help them with their operating techniques. I work public service and community events with numerous groups. I am the current president of the Snoqualmie Valley Amateur Radio Club.
