Would like to get involved ith activations. Have not yet. Like QRPand portable.
Ham for 50+ years. Brand new to SOTA.
Have made one contact with a ham activating Bald Peak State Park.
I live in beautiful North Vancouver, B.C. and just got my license in August 2019. Looking at starting SOTA next spring and need to get ready!

I'm slowly activating peaks as I have time. My climbing partner, KJ7RTO and I are trying to activate as many unactivated peaks as possible.

Primarily interested in activating but will chase here and there. Planning to work on only 2m with my handheld at 5w or less.
I have been active in ham radio since 1993. I've held three different callsigns since that time, the final being K4MTW. My Station consists of a Yaesu FT DX10, FT857d and a number of different antennas.
I would like to chase summits. I haven't tried an activation but would like to one day. I currently have a fixed station consisting of a Yaesu FTDX10, Yaesu FT857d. I have a modified G5RV and end fed antennas as well as a 4BTV vertical. I do operate as a POTA hunter and would love to chase SOTA.

Just started in the HAM world here earlier this year. Interested in SOTA, AMSAT and just learning about everything this hobby has to offer.
As the weather is getting nicer and the snow is melting away, my goal is to hit as many local area summits this year and expand my knowledge of my gear and HAM radio

Primarily interest in activating. Likely to start with 2m HT and a roll-up antenna but very interested in 6m especially in Sporadic-E season. Want to get a feel for SOTA then invest in HF.

Old man, ham since '68. Chase DX, SOTA, POTA, SKCC and just like to ragchew at times. Also an active Quilter when not on the radio chasing. Did some activations before COVID but none since.
Mostly chasing now. Have not done many activations since COVID came about. Use a KX3, EFHW, dipole or a Vertical on a portable mast. Have done a lot of NC mountains before I got involved in SOTA activities. Now waiting to hit the summits again.
